Usually there are 5-6 questions from Input-Output in any banking exam and it is very easy to mark them 100 % correct.

Let's see the type of Questions and Approach.

Type-1: Numbers and words, Ascending /Descending वाले सवाल

Directions: Study the following information carefully and answer the given questions: The following is an illustration of input and rearrangement.
(All the numbers are two digits numbers)

1) What the F**K is this ?

There is something called Input which is fed to some process and it produces some Output, which is the final step.

Now this conversion takes place in intermediate steps where a fixed rule is followed which subsequently gives you the last step/output.

This Last Step has a peculiar pattern, i.e. it after arriving at this last stag the input could gets arranged in a certain order

For e.g. look at the step 7

Step VII : 88 81 69 61 47 36 26 | boom cold ink known mold talk work

    (Nos Increasing towards left) | (Words in ascending alphabet order towards right)

                

Since now we know the pattern we can quickly investigate how the the intermediate steps lead to it.

Look at 

Step I : 26  talk 61 mold 88 81 47 work known ink 36 69 cold boom

26 (smallest number) brought to extreme left and boom (word starting with smallest alphabet) is being brought to the right.

But you know 26 and boom, both are to pushed in the middle and in the next step you will see how will it happen

Step II : 36 26 talk 61 mold 88 81 47 work known ink 69 boom cold

Yes, see next big number i.e. 36 now occupies left most place and pushes 26 towards center. Similarily, cold puhses boom towards center

That's it. no need to see any more of them. Now you know exactly what is going on here.

 See after 1st step, letter with smallest alphabet should be pushed towards centre but here Gold is being pushed instead of drink.So, not a valid step !!

After 1st step the word with the smallest alphabet is pushed towards centre from the right,

so following the pattern it will the reach the 5th position from the right after the fifth step, hence answer should be (4) 'drink'


8.    How many elements (words or numbers) are there between 'gold' and '46' as they appear in the last step of the output?
(1) One                              (2) Three    
(3) Four                             (4) Five                    
(5) Seven


Answer (2)

Gold is second to the left from Drink
46 is only left to 19 and 23

=> 23,19,drink lie between them

9.    Which of the following represents the position of 'who' in the fourth step?
(1) Eighth from the left                  (2) Fifth from the right
(3) Sixth from the left                    (4) Fifth from the left
(5) Seventh from the left

there are 14 items, that means it will take total 7 steps to reach final output

In 4th step , 8 items will get arranged and 6 will be left as per the input

=> who will be the from the left

(3) is the answer
